Refuge Lansing Exhibit Opening

4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
East Lansing Public Library

Saturday, February 3 4:00 - 5:00 pm

The East Lansing Public Library is proud to host the Refuge Lansing exhibit from February 1 through 22. The Refuge Lansing exhibit is a collaborative program supported by the Global Institute of Lansing, the Refugee Development Center, St. Vincent Catholic Charities, and Samaritas Refugee Youth Services. On Saturday, February 3 at 4:00, we will hold a gallery opening event with guest speakers.

Refuge Lansing is a storytelling project celebrating decades of refugee resettlement in mid-Michigan. These are stories about families who have fled violence and persecution in their home countries and are now an integral part of the Lansing region - buying homes, starting businesses, sending their children to local schools, and adding to the diverse quilt that makes us such a unique, welcoming community.
