CMHA-CEI, in partnership with the City of East Lansing, East Lansing Public Schools, and Eaton RESA is pleased to offer “East Lansing Talks About…” conversations about mental health and wellness.
Beginning Wednesday, September 18 at 6:00 pm as part of ongoing efforts to educate and empower our communities about mental health and wellness, our first event will follow National Suicide Prevention week and will focus on the topics of suicide and self-harm.
The “East Lansing Talks About…” series is designed to provide education in a safe setting while also offering resources and an opportunity to ask questions. Presenters will address a variety of mental health topics as well as request feedback from community members regarding future presentations. The initial series of talks will take place monthly at the East Lansing Public Library. Presenters will include local specialists from Community Mental Health Authority of Clinton, Eaton, and Ingham counties; Eaton Regional Education Service Agency; and others.
The Talks will be presented free of charge and will include light snacks as well as childcare available on site.
