Description

This is a family-friendly event suitable for all ages.

This Pollinator Outreach Program will teach participants about some of Michigan's most imperiled pollinators (especially bees and butterflies) through an interactive presentation and activities.  You will learn about the lifecycles of Michigan's federally endangered pollinators, the habitats they call home, their ecological importance, the threats that they face, and ways that you can help protect them!

This event is led by Huron Pines AmeriCorps members Emma and Abby, who are serving at the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service in East Lansing as Imperiled Species Education and Outreach Program Coordinators.  They are working to increase the public's awareness of threatened and endangered species through different outreach programs.
