Join Dr. B and fellow ELPL birding enthusiasts (all experience levels are welcome!) for a birding outing around our community. This month, we'll meet at Albert A. White Memorial Park in East Lansing. We'll meet in the parking lot off of Lake Lansing Road north of White Hills Elementary (see map below), by the gazebo. Then we will set off as a group and collaboratively explore the park as we observe the birds and other plants and animals that call the park home. If you have any favorite birding gear, such as binoculars, cameras, and reference materials, feel free to bring them. Dr. B will bring some reference materials and binoculars from our Birding Kits (generously donated by Wild Birds Unlimited East Lansing) to share with the group.
Since space is limited, please register to reserve your spot. This event is free and open to the community.
Please Note: This is an outdoor event, so participants should take any desired preparations and precautions for sun, insects, and the elements. If the weather is particularly inclement on the morning of the event it may be cancelled, so please check the email account used to register for any updates ahead of the event. While we will stick to public trails and pathways at each location, participants should plan for and be comfortable with moving about the area during the event.
