Come to the East Lansing Public Library and join fellow birdwatching/birding enthusiasts at our monthly ELPL Birders Club meeting.
This month, we'll be joined by special guest Kristy Taylor, who will present about the research efforts of the Burke Lake Banding Station! The banding station, located just minutes away in Bath, Michigan, is a research extension of the Michigan State Bird Observatory that collects, records, bands, and releases birds to help scientists and conservationists get a better understanding of local and migratory bird populations.
The ELPL Birders Club is a welcoming space for amateurs, experts, and everyone in between! It's a chance to meet other enthusiasts, share stories and goals for the season, learn about available resources, practice identification strategies, and more. Also check out our "100 Years, 100 Birds" challenge at the library as part of our 100 Years ongoing celebration.
Light refreshments will be provided.
