East Lansing Public Library has begun our strategic planning process! Please join us for a Community Conversation at Hooked Bookstore at 6:30pm on Thursday, June 6. The conversation is expected to take 90 minutes to two hours.

This conversation is one of five that we’ll be having with people across the community. Each one is a chance for us to better understand people’s aspirations for their community, the concerns they have, and what they believe might make a difference in strengthening the community. You do not need to be an expert. We are looking for your input as a resident and/or library user who cares about our community. We’ll take what we learn from these conversations and use it as part of our strategic planning process to help make the work of the library in the community more effective.

Throughout the country, libraries are transforming to meet the needs of their communities. Your participation will help shape the future of the East Lansing Public Library as we transform to meet our own community’s needs. We pledge to get back to you with what we learn, and we’ll share our completed strategic plan with you.

Space is limited. Please RSVP by registering above. If you can't make it, please cancel your registration so folks on our waitlist get a chance to join. Light refreshments will be provided. All participants will earn a coupon to Tasty Twist and be entered into a random drawing for a gift card as a thank-you for your honest input. We hope to see you there!
