Events › National Night Out/Touch a Truck

Join us for Touch-A-Truck/National Night Out at the East Lansing Public Library! Kids and their families can explore a variety of vehicles up-close, including firetrucks, construction vehicles, police cars, and more! We'll have a free hot dog cookout provided by the East Lansing Police Department, as well as tables with resources from local community organizations.

The first half hour (6-6:30pm) will be a sensory-friendly time, so visitors with noise sensitivities can enjoy the space before the vehicles start showing off their horns and sirens. The library and parking lot will close at 5 p.m. to prepare for this all-ages community celebration.

Parking for this event will be available on side streets as well as at the Alpha Xi Delta Sorority, 855 Grove St. and at All Saints Episcopal Church.

The event is free and open to all community members. No registration required.
