Matinee Musicale is a non-profit organization with the purpose to encourage, develop, and maintain high musical and artistic standards in American music and musicians. Through scholarships it strives to aid and advance music education and the allied arts in addition to providing performance opportunities and community service. 

Matinee Musicale is part of the Michigan Federation of Music Clubs and the National Federation of Music Clubs.

The Lansing Matinee Musicale Women's Chorus was started in 1931 and they are now called the Morning Glory Singers.
