In celebration of National Poetry Month, poetry lovers are invited to join us for a writing workshop with local poet, Joyce Benvenuto!

Whether you have a journal full of poems or are just starting out, this is a great opportunity to practice your writing skills and get some feedback.

Joyce will begin with an update on poetry and its shape today, then will share a writing prompt with the group. Participants are invited to share their writing from the workshop or other pieces they have written. 

Light refreshments will be provided. 

Joyce Benvenuto has published four books of poetry. She still does yearly readings live and on Zoom. Lately, she has been a reader/editor publishing two anthologies, one in Texas, another in Vermont. Before retirement, she was an English teacher for Haslett Schools.
