Bring garments you no longer wear and learn how to reshape, combine, and rework them into something entirely new. This workshop focuses on garment reconstruction and creative experimentation.
Participants are encouraged to bring:
• 2–3 garments they’re willing to cut into
• Coordinating pieces they’d like to combine
• Trim, elastic, or fabric scraps if desired
Best suited for those comfortable sewing straight seams and using a machine independently.
Presented in partnership with Of Her Hands:
Of Her Hands is a community-based sewing and upcycling workshop series designed to help women reconnect with their creativity, extend the life of their clothing, and build confidence through making.
Through mending, reimagining, and constructing garments from scratch, participants learn practical sewing skills while exploring sustainability, self-expression, and the power of creating with what they already have.
Slow fashion. Embracing imperfection. Skill building. Creative ownership.
