As a San Diego resident for 31 years, mention of all the local places, the G Sting Scandal, the thinly disguised Van Damme murder, the OB Pier and cafe, the surf spots, etc made it special

So many inconsistancies--doesn't the publisher use proof readers? Way too many implausible sub-plots.

It has been a while since my last Winslow novel and I finished this one in a single day as I simply could not put it down. The character Frankie Machine is as unique and mesmerizing as Winslow's Bobby Z.
