Add a CommentThis book is great for the youngest readers trying to understand how different countries celebrate different cultural holidays. In the story, a little Chinese girl does not understand why no one wants to eat Chinese food on the Fourth of July, but by the end of the story, she is partaking in American traditions herself. It's a great story for explaining that it's okay for cultural traditions to be exchanged between different groups of people.
