The story wasn't bad, but the main character, Goldy, was really too much of a super-woman. She was constantly busy working, hosting friends, taking care of her family or investigating a murder. She really was unrealistic with the amount of action the author gave her.
My biggest complaint is I feel the author used her book as a platform (albeit not in a big way) to express her political and moral views. She sounded very liberal, which for some of us conservatives is disappointing when you want to read fiction to step away from politics.
