'Toad, Toad,' shouted Frog, 'Wake Up.' 'We will skip through the meadows and run through the woods and swim in the river. In the evenings we will sit right here on this front porch and count the stars.""

Comment
Add a CommentI read this book as a little girl and now I read it to my nieces and nephews. Timeless. Great adventures.
In his classic collection of short stories, Arnold Lobel follows the adventures of best fried duo, Frog and Toad. Whether going for a swim, sharing stories, or looking for a lost button, Frog and Toad celebrate the joys of being friends. Ages 6-12.
I enjoyed reading this book with my children.
A sweet, classic beginning reader that describes a well-balanced friendship and the joys (and humor) that it brings.
Very good match of intended audience and reading level. Perfect book for a child just ready to start chapter books.
very funny by michael
Frog and Toad are friend is a book that I would recommend for parents to encourage their children to read. The book is about friendship. Frog is enthused about spending quality time with his best friend Toad during the spring. However Toad is still in hibernation from the winter months. Frog is eventually successful in awaking Toad from his nap and the story kicks off from there. Frog and Toad have an incredible friendship. When Toad is dealing with issues such as his loss button, not receiving any mail, and when Toad wears his funny looking swim suit Frog is always there cheering Toad on, and supporting Toad. Toad also does the same from Frog when Frog is not feeling well Toad tells Frog a story.
The book elicits the perfect friendship between two friends. I enjoyed mainly how the two friends always knew exactly what to do to cheer the other friend up. I encourage this book for children to read because it will simply teach them how a friendship should operate. The book basically teaches children there is nothing like a good friendship.
Two thumbs up!!
Five great stories about two friends with their own individualities but always being there for each other.
Frog and toad. Hard to summarize. Sometimes these best friends learn life lessons, sometimes they just seem to enjoy the simple things in life together as best friends.
a book in the arnold lobel frog and toad series
