Baker & Taylor
New York writer Ridley Jones finds herself at the center of a global crime network when she picks up a few prints at a local photo lab, prints that reveal the presence of a mysterious, familiar, and supposedly dead figure with ties to her own past.

Blackwell North Amer
Recently, Ridley Jones stepped off a street corner and into an abyss of violence, deception, and fear. She is being a lot more careful about where she steps and trying to get on with her life when another seemingly mundane act - picking up a few envelopes of prints at a photo lab - puts Ridley at the nexus of a global network of crime. A shadowy figure of a man appears in almost every picture she's taken in the last year, lurking just far enough away to make identification impossible. Everyone from the federal government to the criminal underworld wants to know who the man is - and where he is - and some people are willing to kill to find out.
Now the FBI is at her door, some serious bad guys are following her every move, and the family she once loved and relied on is more distant than ever. Ridley has never felt so confused or alone in her life. Everyone she loves has turned out to be a stranger - she even feels like a stranger to herself. Is she a product of nature or nurture?
At once hunting down a ghost and running from her life, Ridley doesn't know if she ever had the power to shape her own destiny or if love exists anywhere beyond her imagination. The only thing Ridley knows for sure is that she has to get to the truth about herself and her past if she's ever going to find her way home.

I was so excited to read this book after I finished Beautiful Lies. Unfortunately, I was very disappointed. While in the first book I enjoyed all of the twists and surprised, I felt many of the twists in this book didn't flow properly or they just didn't make sense. Don't worry I wont spoil anything, but I will say some of the characters should have been left alone.

Hmmm, I like intrigue, but I could not get into. I'm reading past comments so am now wondering if this book was part of a series.

I really really really enjoyed this book. C'mon. You probably didn't understand and you felt some of your questions were unanswered! It was a perfect ending. For a character, like Max, I say it couldn't have ended any better! I mean read the book!! Too amazing! I actually preferred it to Beautiful lies! Jake is such a liar but I felt for him. He loved Ridley but I couldn't be happier Dylan was the one for her at the end.
Amazing book, if you ask me. Might have started slow but the pace quickens and the reader is completely submerged into this world of deceit and surprise. It almost seems surreal! Funny that I completely relate to Ridley. Felt mad when she was mad and I even justified her stubbornness and ignorance sometimes. You can say I am like that too although shes way older than I am. Loved this book. Would consider this in my collection.!

I enjoyed the way Lisa Unger described Ridley's thoughts and actions and her continual struggle to do the right thing to find answers to her past. This was an intriguing follow up to Beautiful Lies with an interesting plot line and complex characters.

Not as good as the first book "Beautiful Lies." I found this one to leave too many unanswered questions and the ending wasn't satisfying. I expected more. However, the novel is a great page turner and easy, entertaining read for what it's worth.

Not as enjoyable as the first book about Ridley Jones (Beautiful Lies). The story was good and the reader gets answers to some of the questions left from the first book. I found the narrator's voice a bit annoying. In the beginning she tells the reader that this is not the first book or her story and if they haven't read the first they may wish to do so. But throughout the book Ridley recaps events that happened in Beautiful Lies. I wish she hadn't continued to cater to a reader that was unaware of the plot. If they're lost, it's their fault, continue with the new stuff.
This was not enough of an annoyance to prevent me from reading the book and at the end hoping there will be another Ridley Jones book. Quick read with plenty of twists.
