Great idea for a story, average writing throughout most of the book, but the ending is just badly written.

A fun story where no one is fully a hero and no one is fully a victim. The evil races show themselves to be mostly ignorant, but Jig the Goblin is the quick-witted of the group. I truly enjoyed my first introduction to Jim Hines.

Imagine if the game Kings Quest was in book from. This is it, but the hero is no king. He's just Jig, a goblin abducted by adventurers and forced to participate in their mad adventures. I loved it.
