This book had me on my toes the whole time. There were many twist and turns that were unexpected. All of the characters were well made and had their own unique personality. I would defiantly recommend this book to someone, especially if they are in middle school!

Creative and different. I'd been expecting a young adult book, but this one reads a little younger than that. I still enjoyed it a lot. The main characters were quite well developed and interesting - Allie a little more so than Nick, but I appreciated the contrast between the characters.

Also, I appreciated the "wear your seatbelt" PSA at the beginning. :-)

So, what happens to you if you die before you turn 17, perhaps in a head-on car crash, and something interrupts on your journey toward the light? You might end up in Everlost. Quite the afterlife universe. First book in a trilogy, the sequel is called Everwild – and it is a lot darker than this first book. Everfound is set for release in May 2011.

Fresh vision, wonderful story-telling, and an increasingly dark and unpredictable tale.

If you find this book scary, it only gets creepier and darker. thankfully, it does have a relatively happy ending. you may have nightmares.

"Nick and Allie were both in a fatal car crash, but neither of them made it all the way to "the light." Instead, they've landed in Everlost, an in-between land where kids, buildings, and beloved objects go after they've ceased to exist in the living world. There are a lot of rules for surviving in Everlost (keep moving or you'll sink through the ground; avoid the beastly, talon-fingered McGill at all costs) and eventually Allie and Nick encounter the fellow lost soul who seems to be making those rules. Entranced by her, Nick might want to stay in Everlost, but Allie is determined to get home -- even if it means taking over the bodies of the living. Intrigued? Continue reading with Everwild and Everfound, the 2nd and 3rd books in the Skinjacker trilogy." What a great book! This novel kept me reading late at night as the story line kept interestingly changing. The idea of Everlost is truly creative and the imagination is amazing. Nick, Allie and Leif, along with other friends, provide an awesome read!!

Awesome book! It's like the best book i've ever read.

This book made me feel weird all over but I really enjoyed reading it. There's a little romance here and there but it doesn't become obnoxious. I think it's good enough to be made into a short film or mini series. Definitely enough there to embellish upon.
