Fiction for thinkers is rare, especially in the murder mystery genre. This series is one of the more exciting finds I have made for some time. Thinking, especially about ethics, is fascinating and in these books we are invited into the complex, compassionate and educated mind of a philosophic woman. If you are philosophically-minded, you will be hooked on these books!

Brew up a pot of tea and enjoy this return to Edinburgh! Lovely!
