I am enjoying Deputy Chief Brenda Johnson and how she closes out her cases as well as her very slow winning over of her mainly male colleagues.
Simple, entertaining and easy to watch.

Such discrepancy in ratings??!! Causes one to scratch one's head ... dependability? .... &-or delusion ... somewhere ... or someone(s)??!!

awful. acting and camera work stuck on actors' faces simply self-conscious and overdone. amateurish. trying to be quirky. argh. dialogue and plot line just painfully hackneyed.

Kyra Sedgewick is absolutely fantastic as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson, it almost feels as though the role was written exclusively for her. The rest of the cast is equally as good, and this show is very well scripted. I would highly recommend this show to fans of police dramas. This show will not leave you feeling disappointed in the least.

Deputy Police Chief Brenda Johnson (Sedgwick) runs the Priority Homicide Division of the LAPD with an unorthodox style. Her innate ability to read people and obtain confessions helps her and her team solve the city's toughest, most sensitive cases.
