World War II - 1940. Nick is sent away from his home in London during the bombings to live with his father in Burma. However, Burma is attacked and his father becomes a prisoner of war. This book is filled with danger but danger seen from the perspective of a thoughtful, introspective boy.

jenmoens you are not smart at all if you like THIS book. this book is boring. i almost fell asleep on the 8th page. something is completely messed up with this roland smith

One of the best books that I have ever read. I just loved it I couldn't put it down, even when it was time to go to sleep
