I read on-line this is going to be a television series so decided to read a couple. One story told through a number of different authors including George R.R. Martin. Each author is tasked to tell the story from one or more of the aces (heroes). Story is o.k., writing is not bad. Best part is how the story ties into current issues/events like problems with how the United Nations operates, Arab Spring, Islamic uprisings, etc. I'll probably read at least one more and then watch the show and see how they translate book to television. Not sure it will be as good as Game of Thrones but hope it is better than Heroes.
