Maybe because I read Dragons Luck (second book in series)first, I am not so critical. Yes, I can see where Dragons Wild does not fill all the holes, but I really enjoyed both books. My opinion is that if you enjoy Asprin's humor, you will enjoy these books. A must read.

The first book of what was supposed to be a trilogy had great potential, but I felt was a bit of a let down in it's outcomes. After reading the first two books, I later discovered the author had passed away before writing/completing the third and final book of the trilogy - so it is left rather unresolved. I have heard that another author who he had co-written with before was going to write it for him... but I'm not sure on this.
