In Japan, revelations await for all out main characters - but especially Dr. Mann. I like how the two female leads in the series are more than just accessories to Yorick. They are huge parts of the story with their own character arcs and pasts.

Book 8 collects original series "Y, The Last Man", issues 43 to 48. In this volume the clever writing of Vaughn takes the reader over to Japan in search of a certain punctuation-named Capuchin. Things start to get very interesting as the story follows Yorrick's crew, and supporting characters such as Hero, and Alter. The artists contributing to these issues are very much appreciated; the series has never looked better. Highly recommended series for all mature graphic novel enthusiasts.

I can't say enough about this series. A must read from start to finish for anyone who considers themself a true comic fan. The writing is brilliant. The artwork fits the writing. The characters are great and the story is amazing.

Just about every issue here is a flashback tale filling in gaps in the back history of the characters. Dr. Alison man's past is explored as is the villainous Alter (old man). Read only if invested in the final outcome of the series.
