A continuation of the authors' exploration in "Pearl Harbor," this volume continues on the morning after Dec. 7, 1941, with one significant change in the prior day. The results play out immediately with a different tenor to the opening of the War between America and Imperial Japan: an early preview of the Battle of Midway, though much more brutal and suspenseful for us as readers since we truly do not know how the story will end.
