Very well researched almost overly so. The author is a professional researcher and it shows. It was worth reading, but not as exciting as may other true crime books.

This is an excellent book on this classic true crime case. If you need or want to read only one book on the Leopold and Loeb case then let this be the one.

The ONLY book you ever need to read about Leopold & Loeb; it has everything including a richness of detail that only a great nonfiction writer can achieve.

A very readable history of the incident, perhaps a precursor to today's mass school shootings. I found the story of the crime and how it all came together more interesting than the second part about the lawyers and the trial. The author paints a good picture of the time and place, 1920s Chicago.

Excellent book. Very well researched. The author really uses history to let the readers know about the culture at the time of the crime. I especially loved the psychology in this book.
