Not enjoyable in any way.

I loved this movie, especially after watching "The Making Of" extra. The chemistry among the kids and the warmth of the "wannabe boy" director came across clearly.

This is a coming of age story about family and friendship. "Son Of Rambow" proves that all you need is a good script, direction and a topic that people can relate to to have a successful movie. I enjoyed this movie very much, and would highly recommend checking it out.

A disjointed bit of cinema aimed at the younger-to-teenset - that in the end - doesn't really make a whole lot of sense - and is a cop-out on so many levels!
It's cutsey little story-line and main character doesn't save it from the "ignore-it-if-possible" pile!

Fair - Son of Rambow (2008): The story had some great intentions - kid grows up in an ultra religious family in England restricted from pop culture entertainment mediums such as movies and music only to be taken under the wings of a problem student at school. Their relationship grows as the both produce a home movie version of Stallone's First Blood. The film is marketed as a comedy but it's only whimsical at best. The feel of the movie also left me with wanting a little more "polish". In the end, all this film made me crave for wass another viewing of the original First Blood movie. I wanted to like this film but there just wasn't enough there for me to enjoy.

Lee Carter: I don't care what you and your so-called mates say about me, but don't you ever, ever call my brother a scab! You know, at least he's there for me! At least he cares about me, which is more than I can say for you, blood brother. You're a two-faced fake like the rest of them and I'm gutted it took me this long to work it out. I'm gutted I fell for it, Will. Lawrence is better than all of you and all that lot put together and he's all I've got, alright? He's all I've got.
Lee Carter: I didn't come back for you anyway. Where's my camera?
