I was disappointed with this book. Some of Pam Jennoff's books have been very good reads but this was not one of them. I think that this books was a cliche' something we were taught to avoid in my english classes at school. I am not sure if I even want to read the sequel.

The plot had potential, with lots of twists & turns and characters who may or may not be who they present themselves as. The problem lies with the female lead. She is put forward as an experienced State Dept. (and part time CIA) agent. However, she continually makes rash, seat of her pants decisions, has emotional outbursts and almost seems afraid of her own shadow at times. Really? I guess I assumed these agents would be highly trained professionals. My bad.

Interesting book but the ending didn't ring true.
