With a lofty title like "American Prince" attached to this autobiography - I guess that actor, Tony Curtis perceived himself as being some kind of Hollywood royalty... (Well, hey! - At least he didn't title this book "American King")

Born Bernard Schwartz in Manhattan, NY (1925) - Tony Curtis tells all in "American Prince".

Yep. All of his shortcomings - All of his highs - And, all of his lows are openly revealed here. And, all is colourfully punctuated with plenty of profanity in order to make his point more pointedly pointed.

This book also includes a 16-page photo gallery.

*Note* - In 2010 - Tony Curtis (85 at the time) died of cardiac arrest following a long battle with lung disease.

Tony Curtis is an assumed name. I just learned from the "Fizzy-Whizzy" commentator below that his name was Schwartz. Well, I am Hungarian and Tony Curtis was the son of Hungarian Jewish immigrants. He was a "prince" by his good looks. And he was deeply human, as I learned it from a TV interview I saw long ago with Tony. He was a real film star, his episodes with Roger Moor, titled something like: "The Two Meddlers," and his role in "The Boston Strangler" were great success. He had a funny movie with Marylin Monroe, titled: "Some Like It Hot."Tony in that TV interview said his parents were unhappy, disturbed immigrants in America and they treated him cruelly - he even shed a few tears on camera when saying this. He said his hobby was painting. He has one daughter, who was also a great movie star. OK, so, Tony Curtis may have been an American Prince by his talent and good looks, but he was a Hungarian Jew born to immigrant parents in America. He is a nice person, a film icon too.
