This book is well written and easy to read. Tyson tells the story of Pluto's discovery and fall from planethood with humor and style. This is an easy, entertaining read.
Very well written, the story of Pluto and it's surroundings, as Pluto the dog, the museum in NY, and others, place yourself in the times when everything was happening. This allows you to breath that atmosfere, listen and feeling what was going on, giving you a sense of presense and a deeper understanding of the controversy.
This is the tale of Pluto's rise as the ninth planet and its fall as just another big rock, as told as only astrophysicist Tyson could. Informative and engaging while still being a fun read.
Neil deGrasse Tyson has such a great sense of humor and it comes through in his book, The Pluto Files. In addition to the true story of Pluto and how its status as a planet came under fire in 2006, Tyson offers many astonishing cosmic facts as well as some of the best (and worst) of his fan mail, including letters from school children. Quite amusing!
Very cute book. It's an easy read and contains a great deal of pictures, cartoons, and new quotes. As is his fashion Dr. Tyson tells the story of Pluto's fall from grace with a great deal of humor.
