French photographer Marion and American interior designer Jack are attempting to rekindle their relationship with romance by taking a vacation in Europe. Their trip to Venice did not really work out. They have higher hopes for Paris, but the combination of Marion's overbearing non-English speaking parents, Marion's flirtatious ex-boyfriends, and Jack's obsession with photographing every famous Parisian tombstone and his conviction that French condoms are too small, only add fuel to the fire.

Jack's character really annoyed me.

This film did have it's moments, especially the satirical depiction of French culture and accepted norms. By the end of the film though, I had had enough of Julie Delpy's charater, Marion, ie.her angst and constant yacking - the girl doesn't shut up.

2 Days in Paris plays like it was written and directed by Woody Allen rather than Julie Delpy. There are plenty of non-stop conversations that sound like Diane Keaton and Woody Allen characters. The movie takes some jabs at French culture but all in good fun. It is also a great tour of Paris missing only a few of the iconic tourist destinations. The couple's two days in Paris seem like a week; however, the ending has some good advice so the movie is worth the watch.

veers between being funny and uncomfortable, highlighting the inevitable cultural divide with stereotypes and cliches from both sides of the Atlantic. On their return to New York after a trip to Venice, Marion and Jack decide to stay in Paris for 2 days -- with her parents.

That shows the racism and antisemitism in France. Usually movie makers don't to talk about it, Thank you so very much Julie you are a mensch!

I've seen it four times now. I love movies about relationships, especially ones that are flawed and not Hollywood-perfect. Julie Delpy casting her real parents in the movie is probably the best part. It makes me want my own nutty French family!

Very "charmant", though not for the prudish...It gets the extra half-star for the cab-drivers alone! Vive la France...

Good. It gives some insight on how North Americans and the French view different subject matters from food to sexuality. The problem with the film is that both are not too likeable and they'll need to grow on you. Great message at the end of the picture so stay tuned.
