Shadow’s Edge is the second book of the night angel trilogy, and an excellent second act for the series. Kylar, a wetboy (an assassin with supernatural powers), finds that his friend and heir to the throne Logan, thought to be dead, survived the events of the previous book and now Kylar is on a mission to save him. Fast-paced, action-packed and filled with great and memorable characters and moments, this instalment in the trilogy is true sequel, taking everything from the first book and building on the fantastic world that Brent Weeks has created. This book also does a great job of setting up the third and final book in the trilogy, but I won’t go into detail to avoid spoilers. Overall, a great book that is definitely worth checking out if you enjoyed The Way of Shadows. 5/5 stars - @Fulton of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library
