PLOT OR PREMISE:
Stephanie is back working at Rangeman undercover to help Ranger track down the cause of some recent breakins at his clients' homes. Meanwhile, Lulu wants to find who whacked a bbq chef or win the bbq sauce context, she's flexible.
.
WHAT I LIKED:
The varying combinations of bbq attempts is epic, as are the gaseous results.
.
WHAT I DIDN'T LIKE:
The story behind the chef is so-so, and the resolution of the breakins is almost happenstance. Yawn
.
DISCLOSURE:
I received no compensation, not even a free copy, in exchange for this review. I am not personal friends with the author, nor do I follow her on social media.

This was a fun one. The addition of BBQ to the plot appealed to the KC girl in me and on top of that all the ways a car can get torched. Creative! Will not spoil it for you and reveal if Ranger or Morelli is ahead in the competition for Stephanie. She does get the chance to really help Rangeman solve a problem in this one.

1. hire a better hitman than Marco the Maniac. 2. don't let Lula make BBQ!

Although it starts out with Lula seeing a decapitation, it still takes a while to get into the story. Perhaps it is because it is just more of the same - exploding cars, Grandma out of control, Lula bursting out of clothes, and should Stephanie pick Ranger or Morelli. And how long do hamsters live anyway??

Talk about summer reading! Love this series, can't get enough always makes me laugh out loud. How creative a way to destroy cars can Janet Evanovich get?

Always get a kick out of Grandma, I only wish my grandmother had been even a little bit as much fun.
