Summary
Add a SummaryI read a summary of what happened in Wake(the first book). But since I couldn't find Wake at my library, I jumped right into Fade. Fade was a good book. Even though the ending came too soon. I totally understand how Cabel felt because Janie's role in the case was too risky. I'm hoping I can read Gone soon. I might even read Wake too. Just to see how Cabel and Janie actually got together.
Fade picks up pretty much where Wake ends and you're instantly sucked into Janie and Cabel's world once again. I find it a bit hard to believe that they so quickly become narks at the school and that the boss cop spends so much time with them. The Janie/Cabel relationship became much more intense and realistic. I felt for Cabel, its hard to make a connection with the characters because of the writing but I found myself relating more to Cabel then Janie. I will probably end up reading Gone just to see how it turns out but I wont rush out and buy it.
Quotes
Add a Quote"Here," he says, handing her a small box. "For you. For your birthday."
Janie's lips part in surprise. She takes it. Feels really strange about opening it in front of him. She wets her lips as she examines the box and the ribbon that surrounds it. "Thank you," she says softly.
"Um..." He clears his throat. "The gift, see, is actually inside the box. The box is like an extra bonus gift. It's how we do things here on Earth"

Comment
Add a CommentIt was amazing. I loved it! Although I didn't read the first one it was still pretty good. I do plan to red the next one after.
Meh--not as good as the first.
I loved the book, but due to some graphic scenes I would not recommend for younger teens. The author does a nice job of creating these scenes without being extremely explicit but still enough to warrant a warning.
I didn't much care for the way this book was written, but I thought the storyline was pretty good. Waited a while for the library to send it to me, and I'll say it was worth it. Interesting consequences to her ability that I was honestly not expecting- but it made her situation much more intense
started out very slow. If I didn't read the first book I wouldn't of kept going, but glad I stuck it out because from middle to end was a page turner.
Amazing! this book was great. In trilogies, the middle book tends to the most boring because its filled with information to prep you for the thrilling concluion in the third- but this book as exciting and intertain as the first! i loved it. Lisa McMann is definately going on the list vof awesome authors on my radar!!!!!
Even though I didn't read the first book of this trilogy, I still liked this book. I'm really looking forward to reading the third book. At first I thought that this book was going to be boring but it turned out to be good. Even though the ending happened so fast. As other readers have wrote, it was a quick read. I recommend others to read this book.
best book ever
At first the book was a little wierd and i wanted to stop reading but as i went through the book it became soo confusion yet i was egar to find out what happens next!
Very quick series. Easy to read although it is a different writing style. All in all was a different and interesting story.
