This is an exciting read-aloud! It's suspenseful, funny, and contains a lot of quirky details that appeal to kids.

Fascinating accounting of the events of the American Revolution. It reads like a fast-paced, action-packed historical adventure story. Shenkin's anecdotes will have you "wowing" page after page. Even though you know the outcome, you will be on the edge of your seat.
