Interesting premise. Gwen acts as Ethan's pretend wife to assuage his dying Mothers's fear that he live his life alone. But the story is far more complex. Asher has a way of suddenly grabbing you with a profound truth, and you stop to wonder, in this seemingly simple summer read, how she sneaks the very core of life into it. Good as a diversion read, but even better as you unravel her insights.
