When a UFO lands in America and it is found out that the aliens inside are hostile, who can stop this alien threat from taking over America? A group of monsters consisting of a mad scientist cockroach humanoid, a dino sized insect, a fish creature, a blue slime, and a giant human girl. I thought that Monsters vs. Aliens was a funny movie and really enjoyable to watch. Good family movie and my rating for this film would be 4.5/5

Funny at times, but not enough to make up for the lack of a decent story arc. There were characters I could've loved if they only had been written in with some heart and a story that made them more than pieces to project the plot. Many kids will enjoy it; some parents might; neither camp will probably remember it for more than a few days.

I watched some of this. I find this more aimed at kids. I will only add that the animation in it is more like contemporary with other Saturday morning shows.

Might be interesting for kids but not so much for adults. Its not a move but episodes of a cartoon

A really good animated movie. Unlike some of the other Dreamworks movies (Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, and Megamind), I thought this one might be a bit too intense for my 3 year old, but if your kids are say 5 years old they'll be fine. The biggest disappointment was the very generic plot, but everything else was great. Excellent voice acting, great animation and some funny scenes. Also, the main chase/fight scene between Susan and that giant robot in San Francisco is one of the best all round action set pieces I've seen in a long time including regular adult-oriented action movies. Worth watching.

(The President puts his hand on a large red button)
Everybody: No! NO! That's the button that launches all of our nuclear missiles!
President: Then which button gets me a latte?
Guy: Uh, that would be the other one sir.
(President looks and sees another button exactly the same)
President: Who's the idiot who designed this thing?
Guy: You did sir.
President: Fair enough.

B.O.B.: And I'll go back to my lab and finally finish my experiments.

Dr. Cockroach Ph.D.: No no, that's me, B.O.B.

B.O.B.: Then I'll be a really giant lady.

Dr. Cockroach Ph.D.: That's Susan, B.O.B.

B.O.B.: Fine. Then I'll go back to Modesto and be with Derek.

The Missing Link: Ah, that's still Susan B.O.B.

B.O.B.: I think I at least deserve a chance to be with Derek!
