With clear intent to make the reader hate Steve McQueen with an absolute passion, Darwin Porter's "unauthorized bio" painted a mighty nasty picture of said actor as if he were one of the most unhinged, most deceitful, most despicable monsters on the face of the earth.

Considering that just about every, single, Hollywood celebrity named in Porter's scathing book is now dead, this means that there's no one around any more to dispute the lurid tales that Porter so hatefully weaves.

When you take into account McQueen's "activities" with many of these celebrities, one does really wonder, though, how much Porter actually fabricated (solely for the sake of sensationalism). 'Cause, believe me, a lot of what Porter states as fact in this book comes across to me as being just pure bull, and nothing more.

Taking Porter's book (which offered way too much information) with a substantial-sized grain of salt, I repeatedly found myself asking how the hell Porter ever managed to gather his info for this damning tale about McQueen. I mean, I highly doubt that any of it came from reliable sources.

In conclusion - I rank author Darwin Porter as being one of the ultimate jackasses of all time for writing this hideous book (about the late Steve McQueen) with such gleeful spite.
