There's a lot I like about this movie, but I feel strongly that it should have been at least a half hour shorter. It is way too long for the story told. In addition to Al Pacino's Oscar win for Best Actor, Scent of a Woman is notable for a strong performance by Chris O'Donnell and a very early role for Philip Seymour Hoffman. The film is rated R for language.

A carefully scripted movie about the value of each person's life regardless of their challenges. The interaction between Pacino & O'Donnell, both the lighthearted and the darker moments, will not soon be forgotten. Each man displays their courage in different ways, but both are winners in the end. Definitely in my top 10 favorite movies of all time.

A fun game to play while watching this is to think of all the other movies that Al Pacino should have own an Oscar for.

One of the best pacino performances besides serpico, dog day afternoon and the first two godfather movies.

The story is very simple but the two leads al pacino and chris o donnell make it all work.

watch for a young phillip seymour hoffman, James rebhorn and bradley whitford before his west wing days.

don't miss it !!!!
