Did anyone else have a problem connecting with Ben after he murders a random guy just because he's in a bad mood? Does anyone else object to being held in contempt by men who are doing unspeakable things to protect us that we wouldn't necessarily allow them to do if we could stop them? Do other people think that the oligarchy has already won? It seems only too plausible, sadly.

Great read like every one of Barry Eisler's other books I've read. Highly recommend this author 2 anyone unfamiliar with his work!

In a Manila jail, Ben Treven gets a visit from his former commander who has a get-out-of jail card for him. Good action and suspense.

Always a sure bet if you like complex plots, shifty characters with hidden agendas & lots of action. Still waiting for another John Rain book but until then, his last two will do nicely.
