This book has helped me understand the intricacies of pregnancy, medical procedures, and what to expect during delivery with my first baby. The authors do an outstanding job detailing the many options available to mothers in hospital births or home births. Most importantly, they let you know what is normal at each stage of pregnancy and offer natural, encouraging coping strategies for each challenge. It was also comforting to read the quotes from other women about their pregnancy, childbirth, and parenting experiences. I highly recommend this very informative, thorough, and encouraging book.

This book has helped to ease some of my worries about my pregnancy. Being that I am having my first child and I have no one I can talk to besides my husband I really needed a book like this to help ease some of my stress, and to provide me with information I needed

Another excellent pregnancy book - non-preachy, with a lot of tools for pain management that includes pharma and non-pharma. My favourite one I've read so far.
