A good, solid biography. However, if you've read a few Bogie biographies, you've read pretty much everything captured here. There are a few insights but only a few. Far more interesting was the biography done by Humphrey's son Stephen Bogart.

I was dazzled by the introduction, but the rest of the book is a pretty ordinary biography, seemingly from secondary sources. My first book about Bogie, readable, worth the effort.

Well written but little insight.

What is the secret of Bogart's enduring appeal?
