Although the recipes in this book all appear to be delicious, t is very hard to use the book for actual baking. These paperback cookbooks are never satisfactory in my kitchen because they always want to be closed. If I bought this book I'd have to take it apart and put it into a binder or something just to make it useful for more than reading.

I admit, this is not the world's best cook book; however, if you enjoy Joanne Fluke's "Hannah Swensen Cookie Shop Mysteries" and/or you were raised in Minnesota, you will love this book. It is part mostly cookbook with book excerpts thrown in. As I grew up in Minnesota, I found the nostalgia in the book to be so heartwarming that I just purchased a copy for home.
