I liked the basic premise of the book but not some of the details that the author added to the plot (e.g.: the killers). However, the writing was good, fast-paced, and the book was entertaining

This is my 3rd Harlan Coben novel and will likely be my last. I found the writing extremely slow paced and the dialogue 'eye-rolling' inducing. Quite honestly, I couldn't even finish this one it was so bad.

The first Coben novel I read was 'Six Years'. It was nicely paced, had some surprising twists and the ending left you satisfied. I next dove into 'No Second Chance'. I quickly realized that it had the same "voice" as Six Years and the only difference were the character's names and the location. I decided to give this author one last shot; hoping that it was just a fluke.

2 chapters into it, I knew I would not be able to finish it and made the decision right then and there not to return to this author.

Not a Simon Bolivar novel. Graphic violence in parts but a good read. He always writes a fast paced, on the go, let's race to the end story. Seveteen years ago this mom was a stripper and her past has become her present

This was also my first Harlan Coben book, so I didn't know what to expect. I really enjoyed it, & am looking forward to reading other Coben books. I liked the storyline, it kept me engaged & had lots of twists.

This is the first Coben book for me & I thought it was fantastic! Didn't want to put it down. Lots going on but the twists made the ending unpredictable. Excited to read his earlier works.

This was for me an absolutely fantastic book. The plot dragged me along, unable to put the book down. I wanted to look at the conclusion to end the suspense; however, I resisted this and continued on the roller coaster ride of suspense and unknown. I'd recommend this book to anyone who loves a really exciting mystery/thriller.

Disappointing, more like a slasher movie then a good story.

The premise of the mystery & the cast of characters are good but the dialogue & narrative are strangely flat. It feels like Coben was just going through the motions, using tired descriptions & cliched dialogue. If you've read some of his others, you know he can do better.

I have read most of this authors previous books and I think this is his worst thus far. The plot was ok although a bit over the top - definitely without the great twists of the previous books and some of the characters were uninteresting/hard to relate to. Hopefully this book was a fluke and his next book is much more interesting as he is a really great author. New readers: Tell No One and Gone For Good were excellent books - read those before writing the author off for good.
