I am a big fan of the Sherbrooke series....and this one was a big disappointment .

Not the best of the Sherbrooke series, but a good read nonetheless. Despite there being 2 couples falling in love--surprisingly very little romance. There was a lot of focus on the mystery and honestly I lost track of some of the characters and didn't really care when it came down to it.

More of a mystery than a romance. I might have liked it more if I'd wanted to read a mystery. It was a bit on the boring side.

I have loved every book of Catherine Coulter's. I could not get past page 40. I tried several times!

This book was so difficult to get into. I quick reading after 30 pages.

The story line is slow and not very interesting. I tried to give it a chance but couldn't finish. I like many of Coulter's work but must say this one is a disappointment.

While the two romances are tepid, not sizzling, the conversations sparkle, the writing is gorgeous. This book is more a study on human interaction, lifelong friendships and love in all its forms, not just romantic love. I'm surprised at how much I enjoyed it.
