One thing I find about this particular book is that the writer (ie, Mr. Stahr) deliberately errors in matching dates with days of the week. He has the 2nd inaugural of Lincoln as a Tuesday, versus the correct day-of-the week, which another Lincoln scholar Wm Lee Miller correctly gives as a Saturday !!! I say this was "deliberate" because it is flagrant and verifiable.

As an 8 year resident of Florida, New York, Seward's birthplace, I am looking forward to reading this. The smartest thing that Seward did was marry upward and move to Auburn NY. Fortunately he was a brilliant man and this move gave him the springboard to achieve greatness. But Florida NY has never forgotten and named their high school the "Seward Institute" and the state highway running through the town is the "Seward Highway"
