(BULLY) Story of a girl finding the courage to live her life even though she has a facial birthmark. It's set in 1942 so people stare at her and of course she feels embarrassed. It was a very lengthy story, however well told. Her aunts have a historical backstory that I actually wanted to look up. I also enjoyed how she learned to stand up for herself and how her friend's mother and another teacher stepped in to help her face her bully.
