Valedictorian Brandy Clark, in 1993, wants to shed her uptight image before graduation, so she makes an 'activities' list of all the things she missed out in high school. It was an interesting premise and, with Aubrey Plaza front and centre, I expected a lot. Unfortunately, this film was kind of mediocre, which is a worse crime in my mind than being truly terrible. It lacks anything interesting and original to say. Worse, the protagonist seems to feel like she deserves no consequences for her actions and is not accountable for the pain she inflicts upon others. Frankly, by the end, I lose any empathy for her. The film as a whole was just a typical teen flick -- fun but forgettable. If you'd like a nonsensical sex-fueled time-waster, THE TO DO LIST will do just fine. If you want something more substantial, look elsewhere.

Enjoyable, if slight, bawdy comedy about an smart, uptight high school graduate who decides to get some sexual experience before college. Given how many guy-centric sexual coming of age movies there are, it is mildly refreshing to have one with a female protagonist and a female writer/director. I really like Aubrey Plaza ("Parks and Recreation") and she does a nice job in the lead. There's a pretty killer supporting cast including Bill Hader, Rachel Bilson, Maybe from "Arrested Developement," Clark Gregg, McLovin', Connie Britton, and Andy Samberg as the lead singer of a terrible grunge band. Those who grew up in the 90s will appreciate the music and fashion of the era. Also check out the sweeter, less obscene "Easy A."

A funny cumming of age film of a teen girl. Not for young eyes.

If you are easily offended or " shy" with sexual references then avoid this film. If you enjoyed films such as clerks 2 and Zack and Mira, then you will enjoy this little romp.

A class valedictorian, played by master of the deadpan Aubrey Plaza, comes of age the nasty way. Check out Clark Gregg as her prudish dad, doomed to trauma in this movie full of dirty fun.

I give this movie a big "Eh." A very intelligent and motivated valedictorian belatedly realizes she has zero sexual experience and decides to remedy this with a to-do list before going off to college in the fall. The boys, of course, quickly find out that she's up for anything. The problem with this premise is that the main character is already socially awkward, and obviously her project only increases her vulnerability. In the real world, any time you flood the market with anything that is free, easy and in ready supply, including your sexuality, it is going to be quickly devalued, particularly if you are already on bottom rung of the social tier. However, feeling sorry for the main character would be too much of a buzz kill, so the movie makers deal with this problem by trying to turn her into an empowered young woman who doesn't care what anyone thinks. What they end up with is a strident shrew with no regard for anyone's feelings. She's in good company, though, as there were more really awful characters in this movie than you could shake a stick at. The bottom line is that this movie had no heart. However, in fairness, it did have some laughs.

The To Do List is nothing more than a standard unimaginative teens-gone- wild "comedy" filled with crass jokes and dozens of pop song snippets. The film looks low budget, the acting is so-so, and the characters are all stock.

The few funny bits are all in the R rated trailer for the film. If you see that trailer you'll have seen all here is worth seeing.

Painfully unfunny and amateurish. This had some of the worst writing I've seen in a very long time.

Not awful, but pretty close to it. I really like Aubrey Plaza and hopes that she gets some roles in better movies.
