2nd in series, ex-criminal Monty now runs home daycare and is 'trying' to stay straight. However (obviously) he can't resist flushing out nearby crackhouse and helping woman set up refuge smuggling route. Lots of bad guys to take down.

More excitement for Monty,a reformed criminal / addict , who just wants to deposit money in the bank only to be caught in a robbery. He thwarts them but why is he on crutches and bandaged up at the beginning of the book? All is revealed.
Monty is a regular McGyver when fighting bad guys,it seems he did not waste his time while in prison and is well read about a lot of things. He even puts forth a lot of facts about exactly why crime doesn't pay, but it is not easy trying to live the straight life either. I really enjoyed it.
