"Tink was an odd duck. Perhaps it was because he had been raised by a grannyman... [?!?]...or maybe it was because his brain was the size of a frozen pea." (?!?)

With an opening like that where else is there to go? No where good... I did not enjoy this book. Although the author calls the cat a 'fur baby' (Ugh! I hate that expression), the attitude toward the kitten is at best mean, but in reality closer to abusive. How is that a good story for children?!? (hint: it is not).

Because I'm a huge fan of the Skippyjon Jones books, I really wanted to like this story. Unfortunately, what started out as a cute story slowly became weird and a bit confusing. I'm so disappointed!
