Three stressed out sisters are going through terrible situations in their own individual lives. Asha, Rachel and Sarah are dealing with massive problems that do not allow them to relax or stay calm. Sarah, the oldest sibling, keeps her family put together. She is the key to her loved ones, but sadly, she discovers some heart-breaking news about herself. Sarah has been diagnosed with leukemia. Sarah has always been the most liked sister out of the three, knowing she has this disease makes it awfully hard for everyone. Asha on the other hand has the most tight relationship with Sarah and would take care of her the majority of the time. Rachel, being the middle child, gets jealous of the attention Sarah is receiving. She also felt like a third wheel to her elder and younger sisters. Rachel has kept some very sneaky and horrible secrets from her family; she committed a crime that no one knew she did all because of jealousy. Some day Rachel has to tell the truth or she will have to be guilty and regretful her whole life.
The Good Sister is a spooky, fascinating and an absorbing novel for young adults and teens. I would recommend this book even if you are not a fan of reading because after this one, you won't be able to stop. I would rate this book a 4/5. -@Bookland of the Teen Review Board at the Hamilton Public Library

A gripping read about a broken family, a tragedy and three sisters who must find out for themselves what they need to move on. If you enjoyed Alice Sebold's "The Lovely Bones," you'll love "The Good Sister."
